Full When You’re Empty

Have you ever tried to do ministry empty? I have. Have you ever taken the stage to lead worship or teach with a dwindling spirit? I have. It’s amazing how quickly life and even ministry can drain us and make our service an uphill climb. What I’ve found over the years, is that this is one of the more powerful tools of the enemy. If he can take the very life and ministry we love and turn it into a burdensome struggle, then he is well on his way to accomplishing his purposes.

The key for us however, is to live in the truth that God holds our lives and our ministries in the palm of His hand. There is no struggle or circumstance that can separate us from that. We lead and live because of His strength…not our own. We worship and serve because He is worthy. We walk and breathe because He has allowed it. Sure, there will be times when you are tired and weary…that’s just how life is. But remember, it’s times like that, when God simply wants you to lean on Him all the more.
