I’m Living This

Great post today on Ben Arment’s blog. Check it out here. This is what I’m living. It’s become more and more apparent that I can’t keep going at my current pace. The distinction between what is vital and what isn’t has blurred to the point of being unrecognizable. This is an amazingly common problem in ministry. So often, we as Ministry Leaders, Pastors, Volunteers etc… fall into 2 categories.

1. We feel like we can do it all.

2. We feel as though everyone expects us to do it all.

Nether category is correct. We must cut away the minor things so we can focus on the major things. We must raise up leaders and delegate to those who are gifted to lead. There should always be room on our plates for God to do something new. If there’s not, then I’m convinced we may miss something that is truly vital.

Check out Ben’s post and let me know your thoughts.
